Telecommunication more relevant than ever

Telecommunications more relevant than ever in high-risk countries

Never has the need for reliable telecommunications been so great across the globe. Following recent conflicts, kidnappings and deaths of humanitarian workers, less and less people in the humanitarian sector are able to move around due to the intense security risk. This has a direct impact on the ability to bring vital humanitarian aid to those who need it the most.

Thanks to Télécoms Sans Frontières’ connections, humanitarian workers from international NGOs as well as United Nations agencies are able to carry out their actions using remote coordination and importantly, minimise their movements, thus reducing the menacing threats that can await them in Syria, Iraq and Niger.

TSF will continue to provide primordial satellite support to NGOs in order to ensure the safety of their teams, and ultimately serve the needs of the hundreds of thousands of displaced people and refugees across Africa and the Middle East.
