Universal Children’s Day

Universal Children’s Day

Today, 20th November 2014, the world celebrates the anniversary of the International Convention of the Rights of the Child, signed on this day 25 years ago.

The Convention is based on fundamental human rights focusing on non-discrimination, children’s interests, the right to live, to survive, to develop and to be heard. TSF is devoted to defending these rights amongst the hundreds of thousands of vulnerable and isolated children across the world by giving them the opportunity to blossom through the use of new technologies.

Articles 28, 29 and 31 of the Convention are dedicated to the importance of access to education, leisure and cultural and artistic activities. TSF responds to these growing needs through its various centres, education programmes and extra-curricular activities across the globe:

mLearning centres in:

• Syria

• Iraq

• Turkey

Community centres for isolated populations in:

• Niger

• Burkina Faso

• Madagascar

• Nicaragua

• Cambodia

Ever since its creation TSF has been committed to helping the most deprived children in the world find a voice. In 2015, we will be spreading this activity so that even more children will be able to learn, create and share thanks to your support.
